Remembering Dover

Now I got to share memories with family and friends.
He was an artist. A performer. I only got to see him perform in public live once. But make no mistake. He was magnetic. Charasnatic. Packed the whole venue with electric juice. And I must admit what you might call punk rock is not my thing. But I was touched.
Things in this dense, heavy world just are not going well. And it is difficult for sensitive, talented, creative souls to find their way. I sense it was hard for him. We shared a love of comic books and superhero films. I look at my extended bookshelf and see so many hard cover collections of superheroes
and fantasy books I think I mainly got him superhero t shirts.
Sunday my partner and I went to a performance of his music performed by his musical friends, some of whom were former band members.
Make no mistake about it. He was a talented musician AND composer. It was moving to hear his music. The nature of punk rock it that I felt his music vibing all the way to my soul.
I know his passing was tough on my daughter. I'm glad she got to celebrate his life. Now comes the hard part. I will try in my own way to be with her. And my granddaughter Nora.
After we left the concert on Sunday, went to my new dojo space and did a personal celebration of his life.
